Audio Review : Pile of some good tracks

Music: Anubhav Sinha
Lyrics: Anand Bakshi, Nitin Raikwar, Rajan Raj
Singers: Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, Sonu Nigam, Anuradha Paudwal, Jagjit Singh, Asha Bhosle, Alisha Chinoy, Shailaja, Harshdeep

Anubhav Sinha has done a brilliant job with the music of his previous movie ‘Tum Bin’. So the expectations tend to be high when talks revolve around his second and forthcoming release ‘Aapko Pehli Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai’. The musical team repeats again for this film too, with Nikhil and Vinay taking care of the notes and Sameer doing the words. The film looks to be a comedy with a cast of Priyanshu and Sakshi. The film looks to be rolling with fun, what does the music holds!

Nikhil and Vinay outshines once again and gives a good effort to afloat with the expectation. And it is evident in the first track itself. The title track by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik get along well. Though it is quite average it doesn’t fail to entertain with a lighthearted dose of lyrics and music.

Follows a melodious duet ‘Kuch Bhi Na Kaha’ by Sonu Nigam and Anuradha Paudwal. The music is mediocre and the lyrics don’t stand out. The song is just fine.

Without disappointing further, ‘Aisi Aankhein Nahin Dekhin’ appears which steals your heart at the very first instance. The song is incredible and the vocals of Jagjit Singh and Asha Bhosle sounds eternal. Though the voice of the ghazal singer may not tally with the image of the young hero, but who cares until the song is going great.

‘Ishq To Jadoo’ is the next track by pop diva Alisha Chinoy and Sonu Nigam. The track doesn’t offer much though the singers do the needful and come out well. The track will find its way to the discos and parties for its foot tapping beats.

‘Baba Ki Rani Hoon’ is a situational track as per the father-daughter relationship in the movie. Alka Yagnik does the rendition in the lyrics of newcomer Rajan Raj. It just goes along to be a passable one.

Follows the theme song ‘Chote-The Alternate Trip’ which is quite upbeat and has a techno feel to it. Sonu Nigam takes up with the pace and with jolliness sing out the catchy lyrics by Nitin Raikwar.

‘Kabhi Khan Khan’ is a mehendi song and a typical wedding number. It is imbibed with melody and the voices of Udit, Alka & Shailaja go ahead to make it a good one. The lyrics by Rajan Raj are impressive.

An obligatory sad number in Punjabi style follows as ‘Sajna Main Haari’ by Harshdeep.

Alisha Chinoy re-enters with ‘Dil Gaya Kam Se’. Sadly she the right choice for the song and it fails to impress.

The track closes with ‘Barsaat’ with Udit Narayan doing his very best. The lyrics are by late Anand Bakshi and his fine wordings glide through the varied feelings of human mind. The track is one of a kind and good from every aspect.

Aapko Pehli Bhi Kahin Dekha Hai won’t go down to be a memorable one in the long run but will lend you a good time hearing it. The songs are effective as well as enjoyable. So what are you waiting for!
