Arranged marriages vs love marriages have since long been a favourite theme in Bollywood. Most of the time, love marriages triumph over arranged ones. Kuch Na Kaho seems to be no different.

Debutant director Rohan Sippy takes a look at what happens when a young Indian-American, who doesn't believe in arranged marriages, finds himself being forced to meet potential brides. Kuch Naa Kaho, starring Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai in lead roles. Ramesh Sippy is the producer.

Raj (played Abhishek Bachchan) who lives in New York is asked by his mother, Dr. Malhotra (played by Suhasini Mulay) to get married and settle down. But Raj is against marriage, and that too an arranged one. However, his mother gets her brother (Satish Shah) to emotionally blackmail Raj into agreeing to meet with eligible girls.

And, the twist comes when, the person raj’s uncle chooses as the matchmaker and go-between for these meetings is the one person Raj has already antagonized in his 24 hours in Mumbai. Enter, Namrata [played by Aishwarya Rai), as the marriage planner.

After a series of meetings with potential brides, it becomes apparent to Namrata that finding a match for Raj is not only a nightmare, but an exercise in futility. What does she do next? Rohan Sippy tries to give you the answer.

Apart from Abhishek and Aishwarya, Kuch Naa Kaho has a variety of stars in Satish Shah, Suhasini Mulay, Jaspal Bhatti, Himani Shivpuri, Tanaaz Currim, Meghna Malik, Gautami Gadgil, Divya Palat, Ramona Sunawala and Parth Dave. The story is by Rohena Gera and the screen play by Neeraj Vora. Lyrics are by Javed Akhtar and music by Shakar-Ehsaan-Loy. The film will open in theatres in August.
