‘Kaise Kahoon Ke Pyaar Hai’ produced under the banner of Kapleshwar Pictures is directed by Anil Kumaar Sharma. If you’re looking forward for something different and novel, this is the film you should stay away from.

Lakshmi (Farida Jalal) and Dharam (Dharmendra) have a son Karan (Amit). Dharam is a robber and Lakshmi learns about it when Karan is ten years old. She leaves with her daughter Kiran and Karan so that she can give a good upbringing to them. As Karan grows up he gains the reputation of a burglar with his mother unaware of it. He loves Priya (Sharbani Mukherjee) the daughter of a rich business Somnath Arya (Alok Nath) in his college. But due to his profession he never confesses his love to her. Only Sandwich (Johnny Lever) his friend knows about it. Karan doesn’t know that Priya also loves him deeply and has never been able to convey her feelings to him. During farewell function Karan expresses his love to her and she happily agrees.

The law restores suspended CBI officer Arjun Singh (Sunny Deol) and he vows that he will catch this dreaded criminal within 10 days. Karan promises his father that the diamond exhibition would be his last robbery. But here he comes across Arjun Singh and Dharam gets shot while saving his son. Dharam takes the blame of robbery and Karan is sentenced for a year of imprisonment. When Lakshmi learns about it she disowns her son. Karan after returning from jail asks Priya to forgive him and he decides to forget her.

Soon he gets a job with Somnath Arya who hires him impressed by his honesty and this makes his come face to face with Priya again. Both are still in love with each other and they get back together. Somnath also wants them to get married. But Karan learns just before the engagement that he has blood cancer. So he stages a drama that he is in love with someone else to keep Priya away from him. Karan tells the truth of his illness to Somnath and requests him to get his sister married. Somnath tells that his business is being held as a ransom by Deoraj (Shakti Kapoor) whom he owes lots of money. He tells Karan to get the file from Deoraj’s safe and he would get his sister married. Karan agrees and gets the file but the next day he is charged with Deoraj’s murder.

Lakshmi learning about her sons’ fate feels sad when Sandwich tells that he has done so much for the family. Priya also learns about the engagement drama and goes to meet Karan in the jail. There she slips from the stairs and falls. Doctor tells Karan to give his blood as his group matches with hers. Karan now learns that his medical reports were false. He has to get out of the jail if he has to learn the truth.

The film in content or execution restores in your mind memories of the 70s and 80s. Everything about the film is old-fashioned. Director Anil Kumaar Sharma treatment and direction looks out of place. Viju Shah's music is lilting and with good promotion it may do good business. Cinematography and dialogues are just okay. The film is the launch pad of Amit Hingorani and the story reels round him. He does a good job in his first film itself. He excels with stunts and dance. Sharbani Mukherji also puts sincere effort.  Dharmendra doesn’t get much scope to perform. Sunny Deol is also in a cameo with only a few scenes. Johny Lever and Shakti Kapoor also get nothing much to do. Farida Jalal and Alok Nath are functional.

The outcome of the film is below average and at the box office it will be a poor show.
