Himesh Reshammiyya whose name stands for musical success does music for this Esha Deol –Tushar Kapoor flick ‘Kyaa Dil Ne Kaha’. This time he is in a good company. Sanjay Chel, the dialogue writer of ‘Rangeela’, replaces the creatively spent Sameer. Let us hope this team delivers another super duper hit music.
They start off on a promising note. The title track crooned by Alka Yagnik and Udit Narayan sounds fresh and original. By combining the trendy musical instruments with classical arrangements Reshammiyya provides us with a novel musical experience.
The same holds good for the next song ‘Taaza Taaza’. This one is a playful, jazzy track. Shaan and Alka lend their voice to this number. Both these singers grace this track with their youthful enthusiasm. On the whole another popular number from the kitty of hit machine Himesh Reshammiyya.
‘Sajna Tere Pyaar Mein’ is another Udit, Alka love duet. Based on traditional Indian music this song is a thorough entertainer. Singing is great. So are the lyrics. The music sounds familiar. But the interludes of the title song make it a better composition.
‘Nikamma Kiya’ is the most popular number in this album. Sanjay Chel’s lyrics need a special mention. These unconventional lyrics may set a new trend in the Hindi film world. With its trendy and captivating music this song is going to fire up the musical charts. The high-spirited rendition of Shaan and Sanjeevani add more fizz to this high caliber dance number. The same mood stems through the Jaspinder Narula, Shaan version of the same track.
‘Piya Piya Kyon Kiya’ is a well-composed number. It is a unique kind of fusion music. Damyanti Bardal starts off the song with Rajastani folk styled rendition. Then she hands over the musical baton to Kavita Krishnamurthy. This classically sound singer smoothly flows through the high- pitched notes and takes this song to a brilliant conclusion. Udit Narayan too plays his part well. On the whole this song is going to be a treat for the lovers of quality music.
This exemplary musical collection concludes with a Salman Khan styled song ‘Zindagi, Yeh Dillagi’. This fast paced number showcases the carefree and cool attitude of the lead character. Once again it is a good musical piece with mass appeal.
Master musician Himesh has hit the bulls’ eye. Everything is going his way, music, rendition and lyrics. ‘Nikamma Kiya’ stands out from the rest. Overall this is a must buy.
