Comedy film ‘Golmaal’ became a smash hit. Ever since the sequel to the film is much awaited. Other than carrying the advantage of the former film, this one is packed with up roaring comedy, more star power along with chartbusting music.

Gopal (Ajay Devgan) lives with his wife Ekta (Kareena Kapoor). Sister Esha (Amrita Arora) and a dumb brother-in-law Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor) are also a part of the family. While rescuing the life of an attractive woman Meera (Celina Jaitley) from some goons Gopal get stuck in a yacht. They spend the night on the yacht. On returning home the next day, his suspicious wife doesn’t take it lightly. To suppress her suspicion he comes up with cock-a -and-bull story. He tells her that he had stayed the night with a fictitious friend called Anthony Gonsalves.

Ekta refuses to buy the story and writes to Anthony asking him to visit her. Gopal convinces Laxman (Shreyas Talpade), his junior at work to pretend to be Anthony. Everything works according to plan until the real Anthony turns up receiving the letter written by Ekta. Things get more complicated for Gopal when a dead body is discovered at the location where he had saved Meera. Investigating Officer, Madhav (Arshad Warsi) who is Esha's boyfriend abhors Gopal. He learns that he had been missing from home that eventful night and begins checking on him. This follows hilarious chaos and tricky situations where a new lie is invented at every instance.
